EA Northern Contractors Staff

Faron Buckler

Chief Executive Officer

Faron and his wife, Joyce, are the founders of EA Northern Contractors. They take a people / employee first approach to the leadership and general management of the quickly growing and expanding company.

For many years, Faron and Joyce have owned and operated tourism companies, including Excellent Adventures Cat Island Lodge and Outposts, and EA Air Charter Service.

As Director of Excellent Adventures, Faron brings many years of experience to the table. He has numerous contacts and is always looking ahead to future projects. He plays an integral role in the development and future of the company.

Faron recognizes that having the right people working as a team will inevitably be the key to long term success. This, in turn, is also important to proper expansion and diversification of the company, and the wide variety of services offered to the Indigenous communities it serves. This will help to establish a long-lasting partnership for the future and a direction for their mission statement. The Mission Statement is: “Proudly helping to build Indigenous communities throughout the north.”

Colin Mcfatridge

Projects Manager

Colin and Carmen (Faron’s daughter) joined EA Northern Contractors shortly after its inception. Colin brings much to the company with his background in and knowledge about building construction and mechanical engineering.

Colin is heavily involved, from estimating projects and negotiating contracts to overseeing all work and daily operation of the foremen and crews. He also oversees any issues arising with the building, working with administration and community leaders to speed the projects forward in a timely manner.

As owners of Northwest TIMBER MART in Red Lake, Colin and Carmen also bring to the table their access to building supplies and appliances for projects, when needed.

In addition, they operate Master Mechanics, which supplies parts, fluids etc. for heavy equipment and vehicles in the communities. They make mechanics available to go into the communities and repair on site, as well.

Devin Chartrand

On Site Projects Manager

Devin is the newest member to the management team, moving up from site supervisor.

At a young age Devin was introduced to the building trade, coming from a family of carpenters, gaining experience throughout his life, bringing all that with him to contribute to the success of EANC.

Devin does all the on site visits, walk throughs with EANC employees, community leaders, and subcontractors striving to make the best possible relationship with everyone he encounters.

Growing up in a First Nations community in Manitoba, Devin has seen first hand the struggles and obstacles communities go through with housing. He takes it upon himself to be the difference, working closely with community leaders to provide the best outcome on each project, bringing the vision to reality.
